Why do I keep seeing a "No Results Found" message?

Try refining your search, using the tips you can find in the "Using the Program" section. We have information on over 90% of the population, so there is a chance we might not have the information you seek. Make sure you try all venues, and try common misspellings of names.

Why is my screen stuck on the "Searching" page?

This error normally occurs when searching common names and information. When searching for a common name, your browser may be timing out before the servers can send huge amounts of information. Try refining your search with more specific information, such as a city, state, zip code, or phone number.

Where does this information come from?

The information contained in the program comes from hundreds of different sources. The information is collected from sources like a state's Public Records, from voluntary submission of surveys by certain individuals, phone books, and many other sources throughout the United States.

Why can't I find any information?

If you are having trouble finding someone, be sure you check all avenues. Use the People Search, Phone Number Search, Neighbor Search, or any of the other searches available to you. Remember, we have data on over 90% of the population, keep searching!

Is this legal?

Yes. Using our program is 100% legal. All of the information contaned within the program is considered public record, and publicly available.

How often is the information updated?

We are continuously adding new records into the program. Major updates occur approximately every month, when the newest information is available.

Why am I finding old information?

Our databases contain historical information for a few reasons. Property Records and Phone Number Searches need historical information for individuals to be able to find their query. We cater to a wide range of users, some need current information, others need both old and new information. Don't be discouraged if your first search returns only older information!

How do I perform Background Checks?

Use the Background Wizard section of the program to begin. Search many different variations of the name to ensure you gather the information that you need. From there you can go further by using links within the program to get access to state and local databases that may hold even more information.

How do I delete my cookies and cache?

In Internet Explorer in the program menu, click on Tools > Internet Options. There, click on the "Delete Files" button. You may also clear your history. Once it is complete, close ALL open Internet Explorer windows, and re-open the browser.

In Firefox, log out of the program, then in the program menu click on Tools > Clear Private Data. Make sure the options "cache" and "cookies" are checked. Once it is done, log back in to the program.
